Doula Mentorship Program with Laurie Vaughn:

The intention in this six month mentoring relationship is to equip new and aspiring doulas with the knowledge and tools to be a successful, confident doula with a productive business. My hope is that you feel supported and guided as you begin to create your own doula style and profession, aiming to help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and take action to pursue your goals in the birth world. Here is what is included in the six month Mentorship:

• Initial 2 hour consultation to hear your vision for your business, your birth philosophy, set up goals and create a business plan

• In person 1 hour meetings twice a month to work on your business plan,  personal goals, and discuss clients

• Guidance on certifications, trainings, website, pricing and packages, contracts and other forms

• Phone calls and texting as needed during business hours 

• Access to check out books from my personal library 

• Guidance on how to run interviews, prenatal and postpartum sessions

• Troubleshooting difficult scenarios together

• New client leads

• Observe a Childbirth Preparation Class series

• Shadow 1 interview, 1 prenatal, 1 postpartum and 1 lactation session

• Attend at least 1 birth as an observer
